A couple of very interesting shows. The second hour of The Kresta In The Afternoon show of 11/13/07 reports on the USCCB meeting in Baltimore. Coleen Kelly Mast talks about the document on chastity that the USCCB is considering and the last part of the hour is on The National Right to Life Committee’s endorsement of Fred Thompson. Guest Karen Cross, Political Director of The National Right to Life Committee, explains how they looked at three factors. The position on life issues, the record on life issues and the ability to win. You can listen here or download the show.
In the first hour of Kresta’s 11/14/07 show guest Dr. Jack Willke endorses Mitt Romney. He had originally endorsed Brownback until he withdrew. When asked about Romney’s late conversion to the pro-life position Willke says ” The pro-life movement accepts converts” and says Romney’s conversion came about because he was interested in embryonic stem cells and cloning and had some questions about it. After learning more about it being the direct killing of embryos he decided he had to change his public position on it. The pro-life community is badly torn between the potential candidates. The last part of this hour is on Joseph McCarthy and the myths surrounding him. You can listen to this show here.
